Skeye Brewing closed for business in early summer 2018.
SKEYE Brewing is the story of three people with a passion for quality beer who wanted to create a classy, yet comfortable place for friends and family to enjoy each other’s company over a few pints. A place for music and art, dogs, games and sports, laughter and community. Their vision is to brew well balanced, approachable beers that pay homage to the classic beer styles from around the world.
Pronounced “sky,” SKEYE Brewing gets its name from Chris and Kami’s first three pets, Sierra, Kita and Yakone. Their initials spell the word sky, and they all have stunning sky blue eyes, so they blended the two words together.
Chris got his start home brewing in the early ’90s, and introduced Kami to the craft in 2001. Kami’s background as a baker and chef makes her a natural at brewing beer, a craft which is often compared to making liquid bread. It is these skills that allow Kami to create classic as well as creative seasonal recipes that hold their own in a growing sea of craft beers. As a female Marine Corps veteran, she is proud to also be known as brewmaster. Steve spent several years working at two of Colorado’s largest craft breweries before helping found SKEYE Brewing, and brings with him his packaging expertise, along with his vivid storytelling, passion for music, and wicked skateboarding skills. Steve’s Boston Terrier Tobias “T-Bone” is the namesake and mascot for the Irish Red Ale.
